The future is looking bright for the world of beauty as Dior launches their spring 2017 collection. Entitled Colour Gradation, the campaign showcases what was one of the industry’s biggest trends during the S/S17 runway shows.
Produced by Creative and Image Director for Dior Make-Up Peter Phillips, as the title of the collection suggests, Dior are celebrating the gradient make-up trend with a whole kaleidoscope of hues. From the skin to the eyes and lips, the idea behind the look sees colours of the same shade worked together from light to dark in order to create a melting tonal effect.
Reminiscent of the movement of the pleats in Christian Dior’s dresses, the technique is spontaneous yet precise as the colours blend together in a masterful manner. No matter your beauty prowess, Phillips has produced a collection which enables women to create subtle to statement results dependent on their desire for spring.
