Before there were designer logos, perhaps the most significant status symbols came in the form of the stickers that would accumulate on a hard-sided travel trunk, a testament to its owner’s global footprint. Now, Louis Vuitton is bringing back the destination sticker in the form of a series of patches that pay tribute to cities, iconic hotels, the heritage of the brand and pop iconography.
The latest patch to join the ‘My LV World Tour’ collection is dedicated to Dubai, and features two palm trees silhouetted by the sun setting over the desert. Choose up to 10 designs, including your initials, and your one-of-a-kind bag, wallet, suitcase or backpack will be ready six weeks later. After all, good things come to those who wait.
