This season was awash with plenty of fresh silhouettes, prints and colour palettes. From rich ruffles to pared-back polka dots, there's a new season trend to suit everyone's taste. Here are four of-the-moment looks you need to adopt into your everyday wears...

1. Romantic Ruffles

From voluminous, Spanish-inspired ripples to crisp, Victoriana accents, fashionable frills were seen on almost every runway this season. Contrasted with architectural shapes and used to dress up everyday denim, rich ruffles proved to be a multi-tasking addition to any wardrobe.

2. Pinhead Polka Dots

Less kitsch and more chic, spots enjoyed a grown-up makeover for S/S17. Printed on silks, linens and crisp cotton, designers went dotty for matching polka pairings in muted black and white.

3.  Ruby Red Accents

Stepping away from AW16's muted colour codes, spicy crimson shades were used to elevate simple silhouettes with rich, saturated colour. Far from subtle, they packed a punch on maxi, midi and mini dresses.

4. High-Low Hemlines

Lending a bohemian edge to traditional workwear looks, waterfall hems added an informal spin to classic office attire. Staples like white shirts were worn off-shoulder and loose whilst below-the-knee looks moved effortlessly.
