The cultural landscape in the UAE has always been phenomenal in its diverse representation of people who make up the country’s rich tapestry of coexistence and harmony. One look at the developing regional art scene over the years and it is evident that people are passionately united when it comes to their artistic endeavours. This year is no different as the Abu Dhabi Art, now in its 11th edition, welcomes internationally renowned guest curators for a fantastic display of modern and contemporary art from across the globe, displayed alongside special projects, riveting talks and performances, with 50 leading regional and international galleries showcasing artworks and installations that foster constructive dialogue.

The fair, which is designed to go beyond the traditional mix of artists and curators, aims to engage audiences through a display of artistic influences and the opening of the Al Burda Endowment Exhibition which is the newest addition. Initiated last year by the UAE Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, the inaugural exhibition will showcase the work of ten artists who have created a variety of installations that represent elements of Islamic culture.
