Beauty Diaries: Tamaraah Al Gabaani On Her Favourite Make-Up Brands, Hair Treatments and Signature Scents

Dubai-based fashionista Tamaraah Al Gabaani shows us how to recreate her bold make-up and hairstyling looks, from the perfect concealer to the ultimate hair mask.
Make-up And Fragrance
Favourite make-up brands: I don’t have a favourite make-up brand – I have five: Urban Decay, Too Faced, Charlotte Tilbury, Tom Ford and Givenchy.
Concealer/foundation: I use concealer as a foundation by dabbing dots where needed. I buy three different brands and always keep them in stock: Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Concealer in Vanilla (Dhs170), Makeup By Mario Surreal Skin Concealer in 120 (Dhs125), and KVD Vegan Beauty Good Apple Concealer in Light 103 (Dhs130).
Go-to lip colour: Kylie by Kylie Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick (Dhs130), which I apply with either lip oil or clear gloss.
Mascara: Benefit has fantastic mascaras. I use them all, but if I had to choose one, it would be Benefit Bad Gal Bang (Dhs145). It provides excellent lift to the lashes.
Signature scent: I wear multiple perfumes at the same time. I layer Eau Rihla by Diptyque (Dhs1,070), Crystal Saffron by Matiere Premiere (Dhs1,020), Moncler Ladies (Dhs530), and Desiria by Bvlgari La Gemme (Dhs1,250).
Make-up hack: I apply finishing spray until it drips, then gently fan my face dry with my eyes closed. This process hydrates the skin, ensuring flawless make-up that lasts 18 hours without budging. I shared this hack with my followers, and it went viral. People still approach me saying they use it.
Hair
Hairstylist: I am lucky as I go to celebrity hairstylist Jamilla Paul. She is a legend in the industry, understands me well and is always up for something new.
Hair schedule: Every four weeks, I do a cut and root bleach. My hair is dark naturally, so when it grows out, it is very noticeable. Cutting often maintains its health. I always seek a fresh, bold and edgy look; I love to use silver, purple or pink shampoo to add a coloured hue to my platinum blonde when attending an event or having a shoot.
Hair treatments: Alterna Caviar mask (Dhs240) and Aveda Botanical Repair Conditioning Treatment (Dhs200).
Favourite products: Alterna Caviar range (Dhs450), which is excellent for bleached hair. Fable & Mane Volumising Spray (Dhs115) and Schwarzkopf Professional Session Label Volumising Mousse (Dhs100).
Skin & Body
Skincare routine: Morning is usually a light cleanse and a four-step routine. I use Youth To The People Kale + Green Tea Spinach Vitamins Superfood Cleanser (Dhs195), then moisturise with Youth To The People Superfood Air Whip (Dhs225).
Go-to product for skin emergencies: MAD Acne Drying Lotion (Dhs120).
Miracle product: MartiDerm Flash Serum ampoules (Dhs200). My dermatologist prescribed these and I saw a night-and-day difference!
Sun cream: ISDIN Fusion Fluid 50+ (Dhs175), prescribed by my dermatologist.
Treatments
Cosmetic dermatologist: Dr Razan Kadry, who I adore. She has helped me treat melasma and pigmentation and I do regular Salmond DNA injections for skin regeneration.
