Award-winning author and soon to be beauty entrepreneur gets candid about her routine with Bazaar Arabia…

MAKE-UP / FRAGRANCE

Favourite make-up brand and why? It would have to be Estée Lauder – they have the best quality and all of their products are tested to make sure they are the most effective and long-lasting. They also have a variety of options available that cater to different skin types – it suits my sensitive skin very well.

Foundation/concealer: My favourite would be the Double Wear Sheer Foundation (Dhs170) and the Stay-in-Place Flawless Wear Concealer (Dhs150) both by Estée Lauder.

Go-to lip colour: Huda Beauty Liquid Matt Lipsticks (Dhs110).

Mascara: Diorshow Iconic Overcurl 24H Volume and Curl Waterproof Mascara (Dhs165).

Signature scent: The Chanel Gabrielle(Dhs665) which is composed of four flowers making it such a special and luminous scent. It has always been my signature perfume.

Make-up hack: Using concealer to give a face lift effect.

HAIR

Hair schedule: Wash three times every week.

Style secret: I always prefer natural big waves.

Treatments: I usually apply a scalp and hair treatment three times every week and oil my hair at home two times a week.

Favourite products: L’Oreal Professional Mythic Argan Oil (Dhs110) and the Gisou Hair Mask (Dhs285).

Off-duty hair look: I prefer a simple ponytail.

Bad hair day secret: I usually get benefits from the sauna which allows my hair and scalp to detox and purify from the toxins. I also apply rose water which is extremely beneficial.

SKIN & BODY

Skincare routine morning & evening: In the morning I usually apply the Sublimage La Creme Yeux (Dhs830), Hydra Beauty Crème(Dhs250) and the UV Essentiel Suncream (Dhs250) all by Chanel. At night, detoxing my face is essential; hence, I apply the Fresh Umbrian Clay Pore-Purifying Face Mask (Dhs220) to purify my skin, then I steam, exfoliate and finally apply my multi-vitamin serum on my face and down my neck.

Go-to product for skin emergencies: Tea tree oil for sudden acne is an overnight miracle.

Moisturiser: Chanel Hydra Beauty Crème (Dhs250).

Cleansers: Bobbi Brown Cleanser (Dhs240).

Flight essentials: La Prairie Skin Caviar Liquid Lift Set (Dhs2,295).

Miracle product: The Miracle Overnight Serum from my future skin care line Dorielle.

Manicure: I usually go for French or nude colours.

Sun cream: La Roche-Posay sun cream (Dhs145) is the best.

INTERVENTION

Attitude to injectables: I have a strict skincare routine every month which includes Botox multivitamin injections on the face, neck, and hands to keep my skin glowing and young.

Cosmetic dermatologist: Clinica Joelle in Doha is the best beauty clinic, providing the newest anti-aging treatments for your skin and body.

Future intervention: I am currently in the last stages of developing my skincare line which is made in Italy and based in the GCC…launching soon.

Secret surgeries: Rhinoplasty which made me feel more confident.

Most invasive procedure: The vampire face procedure which I will never do again… it was so painful!

DIET & FITNESS

Food intolerances/food groups: I follow a healthy diet.

Go-to snack: I love fresh cut fruits and vegetables.

Workout method: I workout every day, usually in the morning. I start off by doing thirty minutes to one hour of cardio followed by light pilates, exercises or swimming sessions.

Guilty food pleasures: Salty snacks are my weakness.

Beverage preference: Iced coffee, healthy juices and lots of water are my everyday sources of energy.

Breakfast: I usually skip breakfast but sometimes I will have a nut protein bar which is great before I exercise.

Food dislikes: I am against fast food of all kinds and high calories contained in canned food.
