From appearing on the red carpet in a couture gown to walking the runway for Naomi Campbell’s Fashion For Relief show, Lana El Sahely, the Lebanese blogger behind L'Armoire de Lanahad quite a few happening days in Cannes last week. Among the highlights was a dinner she attended on May 15th to celebrate the launch of the new Miss Dior eau de parfum. The glamorous event was held at the Château de La Colle Noire, Christian Dior's beloved property in the Grasse countryside. "We headed to the Château de la Colle Noire and I found myself feeling really emotional, learning the story of Mr Dior, where he lived the last years of his life," says Lana. "When we arrived, it was sunset, which was a beautiful time to see the incredible gardens. The dinner was so calm and beautiful, with flowers everywhere reflecting the values of Miss Dior.”

Clad in a pleated ombré dress and kitten heel, Lana matched her feminine outfit with a make-up look that emphasized her striking features, especially her beautiful eyes. Dior make-up artist Norman Pohl used Diorshow Pump ‘N’ Volume Mascara 090 Black Pump to elongate Lana’s lashes. The grey shimmer of the eyeshadow, Diorshow Mono 045 Futurism, nicely matched the colour of Lana’s dress while the deep red of her lips came courtesy of Rouge Dior 776 Soirée à Rio. “For my look, we decided to go with a make-up style that was the opposite of what I usually do, which is a simple and subtle look paired with earthy tones. So we went with a stronger look that complemented my Dior dress and made it more of a statement,” explains Lana. “After discussing with Norman, we agreed on metallic, since silver and metallic are a huge trend this summer.”
