We've talked about the dresses, and the winners are all confirmed and have gone home (or out) with their trophies as this morning's Emmy Awards ceremony has officially wrapped in Los Angeles. The only thing left to talk about? Why the beauty looks of course. Whilst a standout red carpet dress is a non-negotiable, so too is a killer beauty look because the latter can seriously let the former down if not paid proper attention. Thankfully, the A-list and their make-up artists know this all too well, which is why, along with some beautiful gowns, we also saw some pretty excellent beauty. Here's our pick of who got it right (and why) below...
1. Emily Ratajkowski
Let's face it, Em Rata rarely puts a beautiful foot wrong in either the style or beauty stakes and this red carpet appearance was no different. Her softly contoured cheeks and minimal foundation were the perfect base for her statement blue eye that matched with her dramatic Zac Posen gown. Also she can pull off a slicked back updo like no other.
2. Olivia Culpo
A rising style star, Olivia is camera-ready even when in jeans and a t-shirt, so it came as no surprise to Team Bazaar when we saw her shine on the red carpet wearing Zac Posen (side note: the man knows how to dress beautiful women). With her softly tousled chignon, complete with not-so-accidental flyaways, and purple-lined eyes, her beauty look was equally as impressive.
3. Emilia Clarke
The Game of Thrones actress knocked it out of the pretty park in her nude-hued Atelier Versace gown, and her make-up look followed a similar theme. Beautiful, dewy skin and a glossy beige lip paved the way for a subtle grey-purple smoky eye that made her eyes pop. Bonus points for leaving hair up and letting the dress and her face do the talking.
4. Michelle Dockery
Lighty tousled waves expertly positioned to one side, perfect brows and a poppy pink lip? Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery ticked all of the right boxes.
5. Sarah Hyland
We were big fans of Sarah's unexpected red carpet look - in the form of a strapless, embroidered top and pants courtesy of Monique Lhuillier - and we're equally as enamoured with her beauty. The low-slung bun with face framing layers, bronzed skin and gold-white eye liner all made for a make-up look that we're likely to try and emulate ahead of coming into the office tomorrow. Low-key beauty at its red carpet best.
6. Priyanka Chopra
A matte red lip met contoured skin on the beautiful Priyanka Chopra with dramatic effect. Matching your lipstick to your gown can sometimes be a beauty faux pas but in this case, it all works. Also, she has excellent brows.
7. Sophie Turner
She plays a royal on Game of Thrones, and Sophie Turner's Emmys beauty look was fit for a princess. The messy, undone plait and burgundy smoky eye/rosy cheek combo was all kinds of pretty.
