From the custom couture Elie Saab wedding dress to the David Austen roses imported from Holland...

Brazilian Janaina Cardoso and Pakistani Imran Hussain wed last week in the most opulent reception at the world’s only seven-star hotel. Jardel Silva, CEO of Eventchic Designs and creative brains behind the event sat down with BAZAAR to give us an exclusive look into the Dhs7 million event.

The couple…
Janaina and Imran’s love story began when they were introduced through a mutual friend. They both called it ‘love at first sight’ and just nine months after meeting, the groom popped the questions whilst sailing on a private yacht.

The venue…
The White Dream-themed wedding took place at Dubai’s Burj Al Arab, which was Janaina’s dream venue.

The dress…
The bride wore a custom couture creation from Elie Saab. The designer engraved the wedding date into the dress and the train was three metres long. All the bridesmaids wore Zuhair Murad numbers and the groomsmen were dressed in Tom Ford.

The rings…
Imran proposed with a Tiffany & Co ring before wedding with Cartier bands at the ceremony.

The flowers…
Eventchic created a seven metre long flower tunnel with a blanket of David Austin roses, peonies, vendelas hydrangeas, delphiniums, eustomas and Phalaenopsis all imported from Holland.

The goody bags…
Each of the 120 guests went home with a brand new engraved iPad.

The entertainment…
‘80s rock band Fortune were flown out from the UK for a private performance at the reception.
