The phrase ‘little monsters’ takes on new meaning this season, as the fashion world gets its claws into a trend promoting all things ogre. Stella McCartney’s sci-fi emblazoned pieces for both little boys and girls are a cute way to inject a little fun into high-fashion choices, and when you consider the likes of Fendi keeping the theme running season after season – adding new characters to its bag bugs range once again – it looks set to stay.

Paul Smith’s digital dino-prints are sure to please any fan of the Jurassic age, nicely in keeping with Disney Pixar’s new film  The Good Dinosaur, released worldwide on November 25.

For the really little ones, however, an engaging way to introduce the theme is down on their feet, for which we love Billybandit’s cartoon velcro-strap pram shoes, sure to induce giggles and delighted kicks aplenty.
