“I bought my shoes before I found my dress, actually months before. They were my one huge splurge and I’ll never regret it. I wear these shoes to almost every wedding I attend, just as a lucky charm, and also because I can dance the night away in them," says Tomasi Hill

"After dinner I changed into an Alexander McQueen slip dress that reminded me of Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s wedding dress — simple yet sexy, as it was form-fitting and had a plunging back," says Tomasi Hill

The garden setting was picturesque at dusk. “I chose very sparse arrangements because my reception was held in an intimate sculpture garden. It was already lush and green so we really didn’t need much," says the bride

The bride fell in love the moment she saw her dress. “My wedding dress was a beautiful deep V-neck in soft grey. I went into J.Mendel … The first dress I tried was the dress I wore to my wedding ceremony" she says

Tomasi Hill went for simple elegance when choosing her bouquet. "The flowers were pink and white peonies and ranunculus — I love texture and large flowers, so I have always been a fan of the soft layers in each of these"

“I wanted it to be romantic and soft, and at the same time very simple,” says New York-based Tomasi Hill. The bride wore a breathtaking J.Mendel creation in soft gray – the first dress she tried on. “It was perfection,” she says. After a romantic church ceremony, the pair were whisked off to the reception, held at Nasher Sculpture Center Garden in Dallas. Tomasi Hill slipped into Alexander McQueen and the couple had their first dance to Diamond Rio’s Love a Little Stronger. “We always thought of this song as ‘our song’ growing up…It was very romantic and sweet” says the bride. Her favourite moment? “Being around all my closest friends. We stayed up and partied until the wee hours, and I will cherish the memories of everything that happened.”
