Selena Gomez is a world-renowned singer and actress, known for her roles in Monte Carlo and Only Murders In The Building (the latter of which she also co-produced.) The award-winning performer has been the topic of conversation lately… but in true Selena fashion, she’s responded to the haters.
In November 2022, the thirty-year-old released her documentary My Mind & Me where she addressed the struggles with her mental health.
According to CNN, the actress has voiced how the documentary has helped her in how she was viewing her body and how filming the documentary has helped her in gaining a healthier body image.
Now, after her appearance at the Golden Globes on January 10, the actress has been on the receiving end of a variety of comments regarding her weight. Being in the entertainment industry for over a decade now, people discussing her looks are ceratinly no novelty for Selena. However this time she felt it being necessary to adress the comments.
The singer and actress took to Instagram, stating on a Live “I’m a little bit big right now because I enjoyed myself during the holidays” – something many of us would agree should be normalisaed.
Many of her fans posted afterwards on various social media platforms, touching on how Selena should not have to defend herself for having gained a little weight over the holiday season.
