There’s not many better places to host a famously sparkle-obsessed designer’s catwalk show than in a Westminster ballroom where the giant chandeliers hung so low that the models had to weave in and out of them.
This fabulous, crystal-studded dance belonged to Michael Halpern, whose exuberant SS/20 collection called partly on the high octane 80s, and partly on bygone ballroom glamour and romance. Balloon sleeves, sweeping fishtail trains and a delicate palette of mint, blue and pink was spliced with his edgier tropes... leopard print being the most fun-loving.
Middle Eastern fans will adore the fuchsia sequin power suit; a modern but importantly a feelgood alternative to cocktail dressing... and one that you won’t even need a KiraKira filter to proudly post on Instagram.
