Dubai already has a ton of swanky shopping destinations, but that doesn’t mean the city will hold back on building another mega mall.
Property giant Emaar has announced its plans for Dubai Hills Mall, which will include more than 750 shops and restaurants. In total, the landmark will consist of a whopping two million square feet.
Oh, and if those amenities weren’t enough, the mall will feature a 20-screen ciniplex, outdoor concert area, a 65,000 square foot hypermarket and over 7,000 parking spaces.
“Dubai Hills Mall will stand out in the retail sector, and support the tourism and hospitality sectors through highly engaging leisure and entertainment attractions,” said Emaar Properties chairman Mohamed Alabbar.
“With a choice of event venues, the mall will host year-round activities for families. Elegantly designed and thoughtfully laid out, Dubai Hills Mall’s convenient location serves several established neighbourhoods in Mohammed bin Rashid City and the catchment areas of Arabian Ranches and other lifestyle communities.”
The mall will be located in Dubai Hills Estate at the intersection of Umm Suqiem Street and Al Khail Road. There are also plans to make it accessible to the Dubai Metro.
But no need to get too excited yet because the mall is scheduled to open in late 2019. Until then, we’ll be anticipating the exciting addition to our city.
