From Dubai to Dallas to a French supermarket and the streets of Cuba, if there's one thing we know about Karl Lagerfeld, it's that you can never predict what he is going to do next when it comes to presenting his latest collection for Chanel. Take for example, the brand's A/W16 haute couture presentation in Paris yesterday. Karl presented the A/W16 collection in the very same place from which it was born - the atelier - and in doing so, let the clothes do the talking.
The show was attended by brand ambassadors Willow Smith and Caroline de Maigret who watched as the parade of models in the brand's signature tweed creations sashayed down the catwalk.
The intimate setting highlighted the incredible work of the house's petit mans, who are responsible for the intricate sewing, beading and embroidery that goes into the couture pieces. At the show's end, Karl took a bow with four of the talented ladies, rounding out a truly heartwarming presentation. - Maddison Glendinning
