Christopher Kane is determined to make Crocs happen. The brand first brought fashion's least loved shoe to the catwalk last September with a marbled, embellished update and matching plastic coated handbag.

Explaining his decision to send the foam clogs down the runway, the British designer explained post-show: "Crocs are arguably the most comfortable shoe, I love that they are slightly awkward and might be perceived by some as 'ugly'. They have a very naïve and childlike shape which I especially like when they look extra clunky on the foot."

Despite push-back (and some amusing write-ups) from the sartorial community, Kane released a second and third collaboration with Crocs earlier this year, creating multi-coloured designs decorated with ostrich feather plumes and fur soles respectively. If you're brave enough, the original collection is available online (and on sale) at The Modist now with prices from Dhs345.
Comfortable? Yes. Chic? We'll let you be the judge...
