Dior made history back in June when it appointed Maria Grazia Chiuri as its newest creative director, making her the first female to ever hold the prestigious position at the storied house. The appointment followed the resignation of Raf Simons.
Maria was previously at Valentino for 17 years with design partner Pierpaolo Piccioli and announced her resignation in early June ahead of her being appointed at Dior. The spring/summer show at Paris Fashion Week will mark her debut for the brand and it's guaranteed to be one watched incredibly closely by fashion insiders, experts and brand loyalists alike.
After the announcement was made, Maria said, "It is a great honour to be joining the house of Dior. I measure the tremendous responsibility of being the first woman in charge of the creation in a house so deeply rooted in the pure expression of femininity. The endless wealth of its heritage continues to be a constant source of inspiration for fashion, and I cannot wait to express my own vision."
Bazaar is thrilled to be exclusively bringing you the show live from Paris Fashion Week at 430pm local time (GST +4). This is not one you want to miss.
