The brainchild of Omani sisters Lubna and Nadia Al Zakwani, young fashion label Endemage specializes in elegant dresses and gowns that fuse Arab traditional influences with Western and contemporary touches. For their Ramadan 2017 Collection, unveiled here for the first time, the design duo found inspiration in two holy places in the region: The Grand Mosque in Oman, whose chandeliers and striking architecture captured the girls’ fascination; and The Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi – the floral patterns in the building were referenced in the prints of some of the pieces in the collection.

“For this season, we took inspiration from the sanctity, peacefulness, and serenity of the Holy Month through portraying the immaculate beauty behind the architectural detailing of mosques," say the Endemage designers. Featuring loose cuts and light fabrics, which are appropriate for the climate of the region, the pieces in the range are easy to wear and flattering, and come in pastel hues enriched with silver and gold embellishments. "This collection is all about the essence of faith and belief, reflected in the refined embroidery branching out of the sleeves, bodice, and falling down in utter grace," they add.
