Get The January Blues
Usher in 2018 with a palette that spans shades from mother-of-pearl to ultra violet.

Bringing old school glamour to the Dubai International Film Festival, Mariam Said channels an era of Hollywood royalty in a dress by Egyptian designer Marmar Halim. It’s modern, elegant, feminine and modest. Likewise, Nadya Hasan is so fierce. This Bambah look represents her perfectly:a Cinderella who gets to have fun even after midnight.

Bringing a more avant-garde edge to ethereal blue and silver, Kaia Gerber in a Ralph & Russo two-piece is fresh and age-appropriate, while Dubai-based designer Mariam Yeya, in her own creation for Mrs Keepa, wowed me with this hologram ensemble worn at the Harper’s Bazaar party, bringing back some fun into fashion with a retro yet modern feel. I love the cut and volume. Proving that sequins are never de trop, Adwoa Aboah shows just why she won model of the year at the British Fashion Awards in hip label Halpern Studio. Meanwhile, Turkish actress Tuba BÜyÜKÜSTÜN wearing Tuvanam is so on point. The mixed media beading, lace, materials and colour choice is beautiful. I love how it is flapper girl-meets-modern femininity.

Finally, she may front the modesty movement but Halima Aden still keeps her fashion choices bold and exciting.
