From Holiday Dressing to Gift Wrapping, Bloomingdale’s Has the Season Covered
Across womenswear, menswear, home and beauty, the focus is on pieces that are perfect for the festivities
The year has finally arrived at the moment when it’s all about what to wear, what gifts to buy and how to put a twist on celebrations we’ve practically done a million times, and Bloomingdale’s has replied to our worries this season with a series of festive offerings.
Unveiled by Al Tayer Insignia, called Together, This Season — Bloomingdale’s festive campaign is celebrating connection, culture, and the joy of being together.
The first scene plays out at The Dubai EDITION Hotel, where a nine metre festive tree has been created in collaboration with the property so that the lobby is transformed into a seasonal wonderland, complete with Big Bloomie’s Bear, the Bloomingdale’s mascot, threaded through the décor as a run of charming ornaments that will stay in place for visitors to discover all the way through to January.
Once inside Bloomingdale’s stores, the focus is on gifting with a handpicked curation, pulling together selections for women, men, children, and the home. Customers are also treated to a dedicated gift wrap station where bespoke paper and limited edition Big Bloomie’s Bear tags are there to add a special touch to even last minute presents. Meanwhile, contemporary metallic bear figures are dotting the boutique, and a gift guide gathers everything into one place for those who prefer having a little help with their shopping.
For anyone swapping Dubai sunshine for snow, The Ski Shop at Bloomingdale’s Dubai Mall takes care of the other side of the wardrobe, introduced as an in store pop up that is fully dedicated to on piste and après ski style and that brings together a line up which includes Perfect Moment, Yves Salomon, We Norwegians, Fusalp, Goldbergh, Moon Boot and Cordova, with outerwear, plush knits and statement accessories.
Decor has also been given its moment with Bloomingdale’s Home is offering ornaments, fine tableware, textiles, and statement pieces that are bound to create rooms that are perfectly dressed for the season. The line-up also features candles from LOEWE, lanterns from Eichholtz, glassware from Waterford, and decorative accents from L’Objet.
Womenswear leans bold and glamorous, with pieces in burgundy and chocolate brown, sequinned gowns and sleek tailoring from Jenny Packham, Self Portrait and Magda Butrym, balanced by more practical quilted outerwear.
The trending East West bag is for those who want to make a statement. Meanwhile, the dedicated ROTATE pop-up is running at Bloomingdale’s Dubai Mall, from November 14 to January 15, with their party dresses.
Fine jewellery completes the line-up, with sculptural gold, mixed metals, layered chains, and modern pearls from David Yurman, Anita Ko and YOKO London, joined by new arrival Zoë Chicco. Meanwhile, if you were looking for the perfect ensemble for your partner, menswear favourites include tailored coats, bombers, and relaxed suits in warm brown tones from names such as JW Anderson, Ami Paris, Magnanni, Wooyoungmi, Represent, and Brioni, supported by personalised experiences with CHÉ and Frescobol Carioc, and a Luca Faloni pop-up throughout November to January.
Holiday shopping is not complete without beauty. Bloomingdale’s is bringing limited edition products that range from the Lancôme Rénergie Gift Set and the Acqua di Parma Buongiorno Value Set Holiday 25 to Kiehl’s and Jo Malone London for fragrance fans, with home fragrance from Baobab Collection, Santa Maria Novella and Diptyque, and a rolling calendar of pop ups in the Beauty Hall and Escalator Pop Up spaces where Amouage, Chanel, Bvlgari, Dior, Cartier, Kilian Paris and Guerlain bring their festive edits into focus, so once you’re done with ticking off your holiday shopping list at the store, the idea of Together, This Season means you’ll find everything at the one stop shop.
