Poltrona Frau Opens Its First Flagship Store In Saudi Arabia
Poltrona Frau opens its first standalone store in Saudi Arabia at Riyadh’s Centria Mall, showcasing iconic Italian craftsmanship and contemporary design
Italian luxury furniture brand Poltrona Frau has opened its first standalone store in Saudi Arabia, marking a key milestone in its regional expansion. Located on the first floor of Centria Mall, Riyadh’s high-end fashion and design hub, the new space introduces the brand’s signature blend of craftsmanship and contemporary living to the Kingdom.
The Riyadh flagship is the third Poltrona Frau store in the GCC and is operated in partnership with Majid Al Futtaim. Designed by Italian architect Michele De Lucchi and his studio AMDL CIRCLE, the store mimics the feel of a warm, modern home, featuring textured materials, curated lifestyle vignettes, and a material library for bespoke interior consultations.

Fahed Ghanim, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle, said the launch comes amid rising demand for design-led living in the Kingdom. “Saudi Arabia is a key growth market for us,” he said. “Following Poltrona Frau’s success in the UAE, we’re proud to bring this iconic Italian brand to Riyadh. Customers in the Kingdom can now experience the timeless craftsmanship and refined luxury that define Poltrona Frau.”
To celebrate the opening, a master artisan from Italy is conducting live demonstrations in-store, offering a rare look into the brand’s century-old handcrafting techniques. This echoes Poltrona Frau’s L’Atelier dei Saperi initiative, which aims to preserve and pass on artisanal skills through mentorship.

Visitors to the new store can explore some of the brand’s most iconic pieces, including the Archibald sofa and 1919 armchair, as well as new arrivals such as the Blisscape sofa and Mallorca rug. Also featured are select items from Ceccotti Collezioni, the Tuscan atelier acquired by Poltrona Frau in 2018.

Poltrona Frau CEO Nicola Coropulis said the brand’s expansion in the Gulf reflects the region’s growing appreciation for “timeless elegance and artisanal quality.” He noted that this year’s highlights include a new modular wardrobe system by Dante Bonuccelli, ongoing collaborations with Fornasetti and Leica, and a recent partnership with Ozwald Boateng that blends African culture with Italian craftsmanship.
The store opening cements Poltrona Frau’s presence in one of the Middle East’s fastest-growing luxury markets, with plans for continued regional growth in collaboration with Majid Al Futtaim.
