Catt Sadler And Jacey Duprie Chat Fashion And Pro-Female Instagram Accounts At #HouseOfBazaar Day Two

E! news host Catt Sadler and international blogging sensation Jacey Duprie of Damsel In Dior stopped by the House of Bazaar today for an exclusive tour ("Can we please be locked in here?" Cat said whilst in The Closet - and we can't blame her!), followed by a Q&A in the garden where they answered a range of questions about fashion, social media and their careers.

Here's some of our favourite moments from the chat:

On their favourite trends for A/W17...

Jacey Duprie: I’m loving the return of the check blazer - I love a blazer with jeans. I also love wearing a whole printed suit. It’s really refreshing to see suits are in.

Catt Sadler: The key word for fall is plaid. We’re seeing it in new ways too which is really fun. I wasn’t ever drawn to plaid previously but on the runway there’s been some really beautiful pieces. I think this season we’re seeing all of these fabrics thrown together from head to toe – velvet, sequins, fur – and if done right, it's really cool.

On social media engagement...

JD: I think the key to engagement is engaging – if you want people to talk to you, you talk to them! It’s really all about the time you’re willing to put in.

On wild interviews...

CS: Jim Carey was the wildest interview I’ve done. It was this year at the Harper’s Bazaar Icons party. It was a little awkward but I had a lot of fun and it was unexpected. That one goes down as one of the most memorable I’ve ever done. I got some flowers from Jim once that was all said and done because I think he felt bad!

On dealing with the haters on Instagram...

JD: Try to focus on the positives, you can’t buy into the negatives. We all struggle with it. I guess my best piece of advice is to try and stay focused and keep your eye on the positive stuff that is happening.

CS: Know that what you see is not real – you have to know that a lot of it is fantasy and escapism and that’s cool but the reality is that most of the people you’re staring at don’t really look like that in real life. I think you have to follow inspiring accounts also, no matter what your thing is, I think it’s nice to follow inspiring accounts like charities or quote accounts. There’s a real movement in pro-female accounts – go to the explore page and take a look - they're the coolest movements. That really lifts me up.

Watch the full Q&A below and be sure to pop by the House this weekend for your very own tour.
