Marble and minimalism make the perfect match at The Line Concept, formerly known as Three Lines Dubai, an online custom-made furniture service by designer duo Newsha Dastaviz and Dana Almatrook.
The pieces boast clean and functional design that draws heavily on the pared-down, Scandinavian aesthetic, unsurprising as Newsha is half Swedish and half Iranian. Dana, who is Bahraini-Emirati, has a flair for design and feeds off the energy of her mother, an Emirati businesswoman who has created bespoke furniture pieces and decorative accessories for notable clients and spaces.
Newsha enjoys working with natural stones and marble, while Dana takes interest in mixing materials, creating playful, contemporary designs – the result is clean, well-thought-out creations that are sophisticated and don’t shout to be heard.
The Line Concept offers furniture pieces including coffee and dining tables, mirrors, ottomans, and marble wall cladding and floors. The e-store creates handmade furniture pieces, lushly textured with marble, metal and wood and customised to perfection.
Among the most striking bespoke pieces are tables with Carrara marble tops and geometric metal legs, a work of art on their own. Marble adds depth and dimension to the pieces that are rounded off with a minimalist frame that lends the pieces an airy, unassuming feel.
The store currently has a strong Instagram presence with a website under way. It attempts to offer statement pieces that are affordable, also assisting clients with visualising what works best for their homes based on their taste and the space available. Their offerings are at once clean and creative perfect touches if you’re sprucing up your home this summer.
