Fine jewellery brand Mukhi Sisters opened the doors of their first flagship store earlier this year in swanky Downtown Beirut, offering a touch of modernity to the rich and historic oriental façade of the Municipality Beirut building in the district. Designed by Rabih Geha Architects, the concept store boasts minimalist, linear design that takes a cue from sisters Maya, Meena and Zeenat Mukhi’s urban chic aesthetic.
Upon entering the store you’ll revel at the sisters' delicious jewellery pieces featuring gold, diamonds and a mix of precious and semi-precious stones on display in minimalist black steel glass showcases. To the centre, is a black rectangular table with steel square legs, showcasing bracelets, rings and pendants. The parquet flooring by Kitmo Bardawil and gold track lighting round off the sleek space.

Mukhi Sisters' statement and signature pieces are at once wearable and unique, perfect for both men and women this summer season. Mixing the vintage and the new in collections such as 'Queen Vicky', one of their most striking, that features a range of bug rings and other Victorian brooches, necklaces and earrings. For the less experimental, they hit close to home with a Mini Beiruti Sunset pendant from their nature-inspired 'Reverie on the Vine' collection.
The trendy Indian-Lebanese trio launched their brand in 2009 and feed off the energy of a family that has long been involved in the jewellery business. Their mother, Effat Kreidie, a designer and gemmologist, founded contemporary jewellery brand Effys Jewellery in Beirut in 1982, and their father, Chandru Mukhi, hails from a family of jewellers. For lovers of baubles and unique trinkets Mukhi Sisters is not to miss.
