Today is a very special day. It's Emirati Women's Day! This is a day that is significant because it allows us to recognise and celebrate the accomplishments and achievements of local women in the community and the impact they are making not only in the UAE but across the globe I've come across many inspiring Emirati women who have personally touched my life and made me feel so blessed to be able to call the UAE my home away from home - it has given me the opportunity to be brave, have courage and take risks to start my own business in a field that I am passionate about (health and fitness), where I feel I myself can truly make a positive impact on others in the community - especially women, which is something that holds a lot of significance to me and is close to my heart Because I have been so inspired by the many women in the UAE, from all walks of life, backgrounds and experiences, today I wanted to share with you all something that is quite personal to me. I want to share with you a little secret that I've been hiding that many of you might not know... It was really hard for me to record this video and even harder for me to post it, as someone who works professionally in the health and fitness industry. It leaves me feeling a little bit scared and vulnerable and open to criticism... but I feel it's important for me to share the truth and to stop hiding If this video helps just one person speak up, get help and have an open and honest conversation about this very REAL and prevalent issue, then it makes it all worthwhile. Would love to hear your thoughts and experience too. But please, be kind. It's free to be nice to people. And I always encourage positive conversation. On this day, we celebrate Emirati Women's Day, and I felt empowered to share this with you all on this significant day where we celebrate women's independence and women supporting women and raising each other up.
