Lady Gaga is an unstoppable force of late. From dropping her new album Joanne, to being named as one of the performers at the 2016 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and securing the highly coveted halftime slot at next year's Super Bowl, it's been an eventful couple of months for the American singer.
Now, the pop star is set to play Donatella Versace in the upcoming season of American Crime Story, according to Rolling Stone. Produced by Ryan Murphy, the show, titled Versace/Cunanan: American Crime Story, will follow the story of Gianni Versace's murder in 1997 at the hands of gunmen Andrew Cunanan. Cunanan had been on a three-month killing spree, which ended after he shot Versace when he took his own life.
Given the close friendship between Gaga and Donatella (they've each featured in one another's work with Gaga fronting Versace's S/S14 campaign and the singer wrote a song called Donatella on her 2013 album Artpop), we're certain she'll be able to draw on plenty of real-life inspiration from the designer.
