Molly Goddard is giving the public the chance to attend one of her catwalk shows at a one-off event at the V&A on Friday July 7.
The designer has earned a reputation as one of London's most buzzy new designers; her colourful tulle and silk smock dresses have become popular with editors, influencers and celebrities, from Rihanna to Agyness Deyn. Last year, she won the British Emerging Talent award at The Fashion Awards 2016.
Goddard will stage four fashion shows at the V&A, featuring a mix of her best-known work, alongside new pieces, in the museum's newly-opened Sainsbury Gallery. The event is complimentary, although tickets are likely to go fast so make a beeline for yours when they go on sale on Monday June 26.
"I've always thought of the V&A as an enormous cabinet of curiosity," said Goddard. "I grew up exploring the galleries and they continue to be a huge source of inspiration for me. To be part of such a special event is incredibly exciting and we are looking forward to creating a fashion show in a totally new space while celebrating the history of the V&A and the preciousness of the objects."
The designer's shows is the finale of Reveal, a free, week-long public festival held at the V&A running from June 30 to July 7.
