You may know The Pont Alexandre III as the iconic bridge spanning the Seine in Paris, but design duo George Azzi and Assaad Osta have put their sartorial spin on the landmark, turning it into a one-of-a-kind couture piece.
“The Pont Alexandre III is a Parisian monument that was built as an homage to the late Alexandre III,” they explain in the video.
“There are three colours in this piece. The white is inspired by the stones, the black represents the statues and the lamps and the gold for all the golden details. This piece is unique to this collection; we didn’t repeat this beadwork in any other look.”
Made from pearls, beads, organza and gold embellishments, press play on the video to watch the Lebanese courtiers take us inside their atelier for an exclusive look at the making of this outstanding ensemble from their autumn/winter 2018 Haute Couture collection.
