L’Oréal Paris Collaborates With Balmain

News has just broken that beauty powerhouse L’Oréal has teamed up with Balmain for an exclusive collaboration that will hit shelves in September.

WWD reports that the brand’s creative director Olivier Rousteing has overseen the creation of a line of Color Riche lipsticks, working on everything from the hues, to the packaging and the advertising campaign. 

Although Balmain already has a line of couture hair extensions, this collaboration officially marks the brand’s (and Olivier’s) first step into the world of beauty. 

The line is said to contain 12 new shades that span three colours themes with three star shades called ‘jewel additions’ and will be released ahead of Paris Fashion Week this September. 

In a statement, Rousteing said, “L’Oréal Paris and Balmain share the same strong vision of femininity and the same goal, to empower women and offer them diverse ways to express themselves. With this collaboration, I’m thrilled to make this idea tangible for every woman around the world.”

As it stands, a Color Riche lipstick is sold worldwide every three seconds, so combine that with Olivier’s A-list Balmain Army and you’ve got a sure-fire global beauty hit.
