Kim Kardashian West Officially Announces New Reality TV Show
It’s a match made in TV ratings heaven
Update: Back in July last year, Popsugar US unwittingly stumbled across an application for a new reality TV series that was being produced by Kim Kardashian West. Aside from a one-page call for applications, there was very little information surrounding the project.
However, almost a year on, KKW has updated fans herself on the new project, teasing a few more details overnight on her Instagram account. The show will be called Glam Masters (naturally) and will appear on Lifetime TV.
Kim directed those eager to apply to a dedicated website where there was a little more info on what to expect from the show. The site reads, “Want to be a part of Kim Kardashian West’s glam empire? Apply for the chance to become the Glam Master. Four lucky bloggers will go head-to-head on each week’s episode of Glam Masters. Only a few will make it to the semi-finals and eventually finals, where one will become the Glam Master. The next big name in the beauty world could be YOU.”
The application is nine pages long and asks applicants to divulge their social media followings, annual salaries, previous work experience in the beauty world and their beauty philosophy amongst other things.
Filming is due to begin in summer of this year so it looks like we can expect a 2018 release. We already can’t wait.
Original story (07/2016): Kim Kardashian West has clearly mastered the art of operating on minimal sleep. Between appearing on KUWTK, running a clothing store franchise, a beauty line, a multi-million dirham app and game, and being a wife to Kanye West and mother to Saint and North, there’s not much time for the old shut eye. And now Kimmy is adding another feather to her already very full cap, with the revelation she’s set to produce a new reality TV show.
Popsugar US stumbled across a casting call announcement for the show, with Kim’s name listed as the executive producer. The show’s premise? To find the next big thing in beauty blogging. The contestants will be put through their paces through a variety of make-up challenges (contour on a countdown, perhaps?), and the winner will become the beauty director for all Kardashian apps.
The show is rumoured to air in October, and we’re already hooked.
