Arwa Al Banawi Collaborates With Adidas Originals For Capsule Collection

It’s called “P.E.”

Fueled by youthful spirit, Saudi designer Arwa Al Banawi is teaming with Adidas Originals to launch a capsule collection called “P.E.” The idea of the collaboration came about when she realized that both brands aim to tell the same story of empowering your true self.

“Adidas Originals celebrates originality and being comfortable with being different,” says Al Banawi. “I remember back in high school P.E. was a class that no one took seriously. It felt like an extension of lunch time and we would gather with our own clique to gossip. There was the group who excelled in academics, the artists, the misfits and the dreamers. While we were all different, we were just exploring our individuality – trying to carve out our place in the world.”

From grey French terry knitted sweatpants to black oversized hoodies to suit jackets to shiny spandex leggings, her collection offers a variety of outerwear. Her statement shirts are printed with the Arabic word “ دﺩلّوعه ” which translates to “sassy.” Her collection includes long sleeves that state “YOU SAY YOU GET ME BUT YOU DON’T.”

The capsule collection launches today at the Adidas BYND72 space in Dubai Design District.
