Chanel’s Cruise Campaign Is Oh-So Hip

King Karl takes us back to Cuba

There are some collections you see that you know are going to be a hit with the street style crowd – anything Alessandro Michele does for Gucci, for example – and this season, Chanel’s Cruise collection is guaranteed to be all over Instagram.

Karl Lagerfeld shot the campaign in Cuba, where he held the Cruise show earlier this year, and it’s brimming with pretty pastels and Havana-inspired separates. 

Argentinian beauty Mica Arganaraz is the face of the campaign, which has taken a decidedly cooler turn for the next season. The brand’s signature tweed is, of course, present but it’s updated with vintage looking slogan tees, vibrant print jackets, hoop earrings and a well-placed panama hat or two.

The collection is a nod to the maximalist mood of the moment, and we can’t wait to see how the fash pack play mix-and-match with the pieces in the coming months. Now to find a vintage car to accompany the impending #OOTD posts…
