The Italian luxury jewellers hosted a star-studded extravaganza of VIP guests with Bazaar’s Editor-in-Chief Louise Nichol in attendance
Inspired by the Italian art de vivre, Bulgari hosted a dazzling party in the heart of Venice on 29 June to celebrate their new Festa high jewellery collection. Held in the city’s sumptuous palace of Scuola Grande della Misericorida, Group CEO Jean-Christophe Babin welcomed socialites, VIPs and key international press.

Models adorned with one-of-a-kind Festa jewels mingled with the guests, who enjoyed dishes concocted by Michelin starred chef Luca Fantin and a midnight DJ performance by Graziano della Nebbia that saw the Festa lasting well into the early hours.

Harking back to their centuries-old Italian heritage, Bulgari’s latest collection comprises over 100 jewels and watches featuring an array of exceptional gemstones. Bursting with colour to epitomise the cheer of traditional Italian Festas, the gems include large sapphires, rubies, and emeralds alongside classic diamonds. Celebratory motifs used in the jewels include a green chalcedony gift pendant enclosed by diamond ribbons, a bejeweled cake ring crowned by a cabochon sapphire cherry, and a necklace with rubellite and amethyst chilies surmounted by carved peridot leaves.

The collection’s launch was also the perfect time for Bulgari to present the brand new book The Joy Of Gems, written by esteemed jewellery historian Vivienne Becker and published by Assouline. The tome celebrates the Italian jeweller’s signature high jewellery collections, which famously burst with coloured gems that cleverly combine Bulgari’s Roman history with modern flair for today’s wearer.
