Follow The Moon With Vacheron Constantin This Ramadan
The Maison has combined astronomy and haute horlogerie in their latest celestial mechanics collection
Launched in time for the Holy Month of Ramadan, Vacheron Constantin has unveiled its new timepieces inspired by these two foundations of measuring time. Looking to the ancient art of astronomy that tracks the solar system and its lunar cycles, the Maison has captured the beauty of the night sky and its heavenly bodies through its latest horological creations.
Astronomy has deep roots within Islamic culture, with the beginning of Ramadan based on new moon sightings according to the Hijari lunar calendar. In celebration of the Holy Month, Vacheron Constantin looks to its own watchmaking heritage that also holds deep ties with astronomy. For 261 years, the Swiss Maison has tried to capture the movement of the stars within its complications to create exquisite timepieces that are true works of art.
