Attended by the who's who of Dubai's style scene, guests joined Bazaar and Rebecca Farrar-Hockley, Creative Director of Kurt Geiger for tea, scones and a delicious lunch, with tables decorated in blooms from Forever Rose, before browsing the latest collection of shoes and bags from the British accessories brand.
Commenting on the label's signature aesthetic, Farrar-Hockley relayed to the crowd; "People always look at our shoes and say they're very British. For me our 'Britishness' comes in our fearlessness." Speaking with Bazaar's Editor-In-Chief Louise Nichols about the influence of the East on Western fashion trends, the creative director also placed a lot of importance on regional consumer appeal; "I think the Middle East has influenced what Europe and America is wearing in footwear more than we're influencing them. I think the trends that start here are becoming much bigger for us."
