This Ramadan Netflix Celebrates A Few Inspirational Ladies

Our favourite shows of the summer all star powerful ladies

As you get ready to spend your evenings watching your favourite TV shows during Ramadan, you’d be hard pressed to find a better variety of international shows than on Netflix, which this holy month is paying homage to a series of powerful female characters.

Gilmore Girls

If you’re like us, you’ve probably already binge-watched addictive series such as Orange Is the New Black, Gilmore Girls, House of Cards, The Crown and Girlboss. During Ramadan, Netflix is launching a social media campaign highlighting the inspirational leading ladies starring in these shows, who were chosen by five talented women across the Gulf.

Amy Roko, Tima Shomali, Alaa Balkhy, Hatoon Kadi and Maha Jaafar each picked one female character for their affinity to them. You can check out the campaign, aptly named She Rules, on Netflix YouTube page.
