Public School Makes Its Dubai Debut With Pre-Fall 16

The cool NYC brand gave the Dubai crowd a lesson in laidback luxury

Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow, the duo behind Public School, brought their sports-inspired style to Dubai Design District tonight in a show that set a new benchmark for future presentations in the region. The Pre-Fall’16 collection saw an army of models take to the catwalk accompanied by a heart-pounding beat. Everything was worn oversized, and expertly layered to create a look that was as laidback as it was luxurious. The silhouette was loose, but the pair’s expertise in tailoring could not be missed in the sharp collars, structured jackets and overall finish of each and every piece. It was entirely wearable (though we’d need to lose a few of the layers to keep cool in the Middle Eastern heat) and was an instant hit with the crowd, made up of international and regional influencers.  – Maddison Glendinning
