When Is Eid al-Adha 2022? Here’s what you need to know…

With Eid al-Fitr long gone, you’re probably wondering when the next Eid festivities start and what this potentially means for both the public and private sectors. Whilst the official holiday dates are based on the moon sighting, it is never too early to start planning for your next luxury escape and take advantage of the extra-long weekend making memories this Eid Al Adha.

Eid Al Adha is one of the two festivals in the Islamic calendar celebrated by Muslims around the world. Translated as ‘the festival of sacrifice’, meaning in some countries Muslims sacrifice a sheep or goat and is shared between family, friends and neighbours.

When Is Eid al-Adha 2022?

Normally seventy days after Eid Al Fitr, the celebration after the holy month of Ramadan, an announcement is due to follow nearer the time by the moon sighting committee. However, according to the UAE BARQ’s twitter recent post, Eid-al-Adha 2022 is likely to be on Saturday, July 9.
