Nancy Ajram’s New Hit Single With Marshmello Is Making Waves Globally

Lebanese megastar Nancy Ajram made history on Tuesday as her new hit single “Sah Sah” became the first Arabic song to debut on the American Billboard Dance Charts. Coming in at #38, the popular creative entered the Dance/ Electronic Songs Chart with American DJ Marshmallo that caused quite the buzz online.

According to Soundcharts, a music analytics tool, “Sah Sah” has taken the dance world by storm, reaching the Top 10 on the US iTunes electronic charts after having peaked at number 9. The platform also revealed an inherent regional success, topping the iTunes electronic category in both Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates while just missing the top spot in Qatar, at number 2.
Taking to social media to celebrate the hit song’s success, Nancy Ajram thanked listeners for their “mind-blowing feedback” on the release with a heartfelt Instagram post.
In just under a fortnight, “Sah Sah”– translating to “true true”- has amassed near 20 million views on YouTube, over 1 million streams on Spotify and close to 11,000 Shazams. The official music video, which premiered on July 8, has Ajram dazzling in a series of glittery ensembles to really embrace the party-spirit.
Written by Ahmad Alaeddine, Marshmallo, Mohamed Said Toufic Al, Nancy Ajram and Massari, the song speaks of dancing, late-nights and being pampered- and we couldn’t ask for anything more to get us in the summer spirit.
Either way, the Lebanese superstar has done it once again, getting us all up our feet and ready to dance this summer season- and we’re not complaining.
