Okhtein Opens Its New Flagship Store in Cairo
The handbag and accessory brand made their mark on the city with the launch of their SS21 collection
Okhtein opened its new store on October 19, 2020 in Capital Promenade in Cairo.
In celebration of the opening, the brand launched their SS21 collection as well and teamed up with Lebanese architecture firm WZ architects led by Walid Zeidan who reflected the brand’s identity into the space — giving it a clutter-free, contemporary look.
Celebrities and industry personalities were in attendance, escaping to the world of Okhtein luxury.
After the launch, an entertaining after-party was hosted by Okhtein and sponsoredby Zed, Ora Developers and organised by Venture Lifestyle, a leading event organizing company in Egypt.
The party was at Italiano, Zed Park with a performance by international artist Oscar & The Wolf.
In collaboration with the UNHCR, Okhtein has created a very special edition Flucca clutch. It is embellished with Swarovski crystals making up the Lebanese flag. The gorgeous bag was showcased at the after-party and will be placed in an auction during the El Gouna Film Festival which will take place October 23 – 31, 2020.
All the proceeds from the sale of the Flucca clutch will go to the UNHCR explosion relief in Beirut.
The SS21 collection is called “Re-connect” and shows the apparent need for society to do so in a world that feels so separated today. The sibling duo drew inspiration from nature and designed pieces of the collection with earthy colours and natural shapes. The collection is also designed to be functional and revisits Okhtein classic styles.
