It has undoubtedly been a hectic year for the twenty-six-year-old Palestinian-Dutch model Bella Hadid – especially being the focal point of this year’s Fashion Weeks.
Notably, the twenty-six-year-old made headlines when a dress was sprayed to her body on the runway by French womenswear brand, Coperni’s Spring/Summer 2023 show. Not only was that one of the most viral moments this year, but also a new concept executed by a designer at the event.
Bella Hadid’s hard work and dedication to her profession did not go unnoticed this year which is why she was announced Model of the Year at this year’s British Fashion Awards.
According to CNN Style, Bella was unable to receive her award in person, her stylist Carlos Nazario who accepted the prize for her said “her body wouldn’t allow her,” we can only imagine this is due to her ongoing battle against Lyme disease.
Bella Hadid took to Instagram to share a video of her pre-recorded acceptance speech, she wrote in the caption “Thank you for the recognition, @britishfashioncouncil and my fashion family. I have too much to write in caption! My gratitude goes beyond words but I tried my best!…. Thank you thank you.”
