Naomi Osaka is expecting her first child.
The twenty-five-year-old Japanese professional tennis player took to both her Instagram and Twitter to share the news.
“Can’t wait to get back on the court but here’s a little life update for 2023,” Naomi wrote in an Instagram post, announcing her pregnancy.
Naomi’s friends and family have flocked to the post to share their kind words among those who commented was the American singer and actress — Halle Bailey who commented, “congratulations!!!!” as well as the official Wimbledon Championships Instagram account who shared the love too by commenting, “??,”

In addition to Naomi’s Instagram post, the tennis champion shared a screenshot of her notes app that had a heartfelt message, “The past few years have been interesting to say the least, but I find that its the most challenging times in life that may be the most fun. These few months away from the sport has really given me a new love and appreciation for the game I’ve dedicated my life to. I realise that life is so short and I don’t take any moments for granted, everyday is a new blessing and adventure. I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future, one thing I’m looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone, ‘that’s my mom’, haha. 2023 will be a year that’ll be full of lessons for me and I hope I’ll see you guys in the start of the next one cause I’ll be at Aus 2024. Love you all infinitely.”
So… When is Naomi Osaka due?
The popular athlete hasn’t publicly disclosed her exact due date; however, most women don’t announce their pregnancy until after the first trimester. So, if Naomi is at least three months along, it’s looking like the tennis player may be due some time later this year, around July or August of 2023. But there is no way to verify this information without Naomi or her doctor’s confirmation.
