A stellar line up of talent will be making an appearance at the coronation festivities this weekend – including a beloved childhood character. Tom Cruise, Sonam Kapoor, Katy Perry, Andrea Bocelli and Lionel Richie are all expected to play a role in the celebrations in honour King Charles III and Queen Camilla… along with Winnie The Pooh.

According to The National more than a handful of celebrities and notable personalities will, in some capacity, participate or attend the coronation festivities, including the Coronation Concert. It’s rumoured that Tom Cruise and Winnie-The-Pooh have joined forces to star in a segment similar to the one Queen Elizabeth and Paddington Bear participated in for her Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Along with Sir Tom Jones, Dame Joan Collins of Dynasty fame, Bear Grylls and Strictly Come Dancing‘s Oti Mabuse the award-winning actor and storybook character are expected to be part of a series of pre-recorded sketches that will share “little known” facts about the King. Bollywood star and model Sonam Kapoor will be performing a “spoken word” piece. Paloma Faith, Olly Murs, veteran rock guitarist Steve Winwood, Nicole Scherzinger from The Pussycat Dolls, Chinese pianist Lang Lang and DJ Pete Tong have also been added to the line-up of performers for the Coronation Concert which will take place on May 7. Take That, Katy Perry, Andrea Bocelli, and Lionel Richie will also take to the stage.

What Time Does The Coronation Start?

The coronation procession, known as The King’s Procession, is due to begin at 10:20 (GMT)/ 12:20 (AST)/ 13:20 (GST) on May 6. The ceremony is scheduled to at start at Westminster Abbey in London 11:00 (GMT)/ 13:00 (AST)/ 14:00 (GST). The Coronation Concert will follow the following day.
