Burj Khalifa Lights Up in Solidarity with Morocco
The UAE supports support of all those affected by the tragic disaster, as the emirates works to send urgent aid to areas affected by the earthquake
On the night of September 9, a massive 6.8 magnitude earthquake hit the High Atlas Mountains south of Marrakesh. As reported by CNN, the impact caused over 2000 casualties and left approximately 1500 people in critical condition.
In solidarity with The Kingdom of Morocco and its people the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa, lit up in Morocco’s red and green flag to show the UAE’s support to the victims of the earthquake. The display read, “From the UAE… Our deepest condolences to the Moroccan people. Our thoughts are with Morocco.”
Abu Dhabi’s ADNOC building echoed the same display and message.
