Andria Tayeh’s Unique Path Towards Being An adidas Original

The Lebanese-Jordanian star shares what it means to be an original, while teasing AlRawabi School For Girls Season 2 and other upcoming projects

Andria Tayeh rose to stardom by virtue of her stellar portrayal of Mariam, a schoolgirl who regains her sovereignty after enduring relentless bullying at the hands of her classmates, in Netflix’s AlRawabi School For Girls. Based on the actor’s powerful roles, one might assume that the unstoppable Andria Tayeh is simply unfamiliar with self-doubt.

From the moment that she appeared on the big screen, audiences were convinced that the actor had always embodied what it means to be an adidas Original – but the truth is, the path to self-love was not always easy for Andria. Like any other young woman, the artist had to confront, understand, and make peace with unhealed parts of herself in order to grow into the self-assured individual that she is today.

Andria Tayeh’s official status as an adidas Original, in the iconic streetwear brand’s new global platform “We Gave the World an Original. You Gave Us a Thousand Back,” represents a full-circle moment for the actor – coinciding with her journey towards self-love and being an original in her own skin. And much like an actual gazelle, Tayeh’s representation of the iconic Gazelle Originals sneaker symbolises the grace she’s had to give herself throughout the years, in order to grow into the agile and unstoppable force of self-confidence and originality that she is today.
