5 Regional Creators Who Made a Statement at Milan Fashion Week A/W24
Putting the spotlight on homegrown style stars
Arguably one of the highlights on the Fashion Week calendar, Milan Fashion Week brings together the finest alta moda of sartorial circles.
This season, a handful of regional fashion lovers and creators were spotted sitting front row and dashing between shows as an illustrious roster of Italian designers debuted their F/W 24 collections.
While the region’s burgeoning fashion scene is making strides in being a global player, we still feel a tinge of pride and excitement every time UAE or GCC-based talent captivate onlookers in the European fashion capitals.
From Kuwaiti creative Fatema Alawadhi’s fashion-forward modest-wear to Dubai-based Deema Al Asadi’s daring looks at Fendi, these were some of the regional creators that dazzled at Milan Fashion Week.
Soha Taha

Stylist and image consultant Soha Taha knows a thing or two about bundling up in style. As a self-proclaimed winter lover, the Dubai-based creative feels right at home in the chilly Italian capital. Her fashion week outfits have been a lesson in modest winter wear – from her statement coat at Del Core to her sequined gown at Roberto Cavalli – all tied together with statement stiletto boots.
Fatma Husam

Emirati influencer Fatma Husam lit up the streets in electric blue outside the Max Mara showcase this week.
She also debuted a few modest ensembles, complete with matching head-covering at Tom Ford’s fashion week show and dinner, while making a statement with a double handbag at Fendi on day one.
Fatema Alawadhi

Power suits and knitted wear were a staple in Fatema Alawadhi’s fashion week wardrobe.
Some of her best looks were an all-white affair while a pop of colour and print also made an appearance amid the gloomy weather.
This knitted three-piece set had heads turning at Blu Marine.
Rym Saidi

The UAE-based Tunisian star brought an air of gilded glamour to the streets at Milan Fashion Week.
From an off-the-shoulder gown for an evening with Etro to a silk jumpsuit moment outside Max Mara, we love her classical, sophisticated elegance.
Deema Al Asadi

The Dubai-based TV personality had a versatile range of outfits for her Milan Fashion Week appearances. From a patent leather skirt at Tom Ford to pink faux fur at Max Mara and a suited ‘skort’ ensemble at Fendi, she surprised and delighted with every new look.
