Exclusive: Inside Sukayna Nasser Judeh and Rakan Raed Abu Soud’s Intimate Kateb Al-kitab
The couple were all smiles as they celebrated their nuptials surrounded by family and friends in Amman
On October 21, 2024, Miss Sukayna Nasser Judeh, granddaughter of HRH Prince Hassan bin Talal and daughter of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan and HE Mr. Nasser Judeh, began her new journey by celebrating her Kateb Al Kitab with Mr. Rakan Raed Abu Soud. This intimate affair took place at Kamaliyya, the bride’s childhood home on the outskirts of Amman, where cherished family and friends gathered in an atmosphere filled with warmth and love.

The celebration was attended by Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah, alongside esteemed members of the royal family. Surrounded by their loved ones, Sukayna and Rakan’s special day unfolded as a truly romantic affair, brimming with romance and heartfelt moments.
Sukayna’s Dreamy Bridal Look
Sukayna enchanted her guests in a custom gown crafted from delicate white lace, beautifully adorned with exquisite diamond, pearl, and crystal beadwork. The gown featured a fitted bodice, skirt and train, affectionately described as “waves of love.” Complementing her elegant ensemble was a tulle veil, embroidered and beaded lace, and designed by a close friend of her mother, HRH Princess Sumaya.

In a touching romantic gesture, Sukayna’s veil was embroidered with the code “xX,” a symbolic signature that reflects the love shared between her and Rakan in their personal messages to one another.

Her stunning bridal look was styled by Tareq Msharbash, and her make-up was done by Noor Arida for Tareq Msharbash Salon in Amman.
Dripping in Purple Romance
Sukayna infused her Kateb Al-kitab celebration with heartfelt personal touches and meaningful details, creating an ambiance rich with symbolism. Her love for the color purple and appreciation for amethysts—symbols of deep love, happiness, humility, and sincerity—were subtly woven into the décor.

Her bouquet, a stunning creation by Simon Lycett — renowned florist to royals and celebrities and a dear friend of her mother— could best be described as a masterpiece. It featured elegant roses, fragrant freesia, and locally sourced daisies, adding a charming touch of Jordanian beauty to the blooms. A sprinkle of Swarovski crystals throughout the bouquet provided a subtle sparkle.

Purple accents beautifully adorned Sukayna’s jewellery, featuring exquisite pieces by David Morris, the esteemed London jeweller, gifted to her by her parents. Her earrings and hairpiece, embellished with amethysts, diamonds, and pearls, perfectly reflected the day’s purple theme.
Adding a deeply personal touch Sukayna’s mother, HRH Princess Sumaya, honoured her daughter by wearing a tailored long-line purple silk coat and dress, intricately embroidered and beaded in shades of amethyst.

Reflecting on the occasion HRH Princess Sumaya, who has celebrated a joyous sequence of weddings over the past year and a half, shared an exclusive and heartfelt message with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia. This cherished season of family celebrations began with the wedding of Sukayna’s older brother, Tariq — twin to her sister Zein el Sharaf — who married Zane Abu Hantash in July 2023, followed by her brother Ali’s marriage to Tamara Rasamny in May 2024. Sukayna’s wedding marks the third in this beautiful series of family unions, filling the hearts of HRH Princess Sumaya and Mr. Nasser Judeh with immense joy.

In her message, Princess Sumaya expressed her deep pride in witnessing her daughter’s wedding:
“Witnessing the marriage of my beloved youngest daughter, Sukayna, ma sha Allah, fills my heart with immense joy and gratitude. To see my precious girl take this beautiful step, surrounded by family and loved ones, is a moment I will treasure forever. This year has been especially meaningful, with the weddings of three of our children bringing our family even closer and filling our lives with the blessings of love and togetherness.
