Samsung has flipped the intersection of fashion and technology with its latest collaboration, The Flipside Fashion Collection. Unveiled at Dubai’s Koncrete Space, the project brings together the creative visions of five homegrown fashion brands from across the MENA region. Each contributor draws inspiration from its particular cultural roots, reimagining modern design through the lens of self-expression. Guided by the sleek, foldable design of the Galaxy Z Flip6, the collection transcends local boundaries, enabling compelling cultural stories to be shared on a global stage.
At the heart of this collaboration is the Galaxy Z Flip6, whose aesthetic serves as the creative muse for each collection. Omar Saheb, Regional VP of Marketing at Samsung Electronics MENA, explains, “Supporting and celebrating local businesses that push the boundaries of self-expression aligns with the very essence of the Galaxy Z Flip6 — a device designed to empower personal style. Through this campaign, the Galaxy Z Flip6 becomes the ultimate fashion statement, seamlessly blending iconic design with self-expression in fashion.”

The Flipside Fashion Collection highlights the ingenuity of five standout brands. From Jordan, FNL merges bold Arabic-inspired graphics with streetwear, bridging heritage and urban sophistication.

Saudi Arabia’s Not Boring draws inspiration from Riyadh’s underground music and street culture, creating unapologetically authentic designs that challenge conventional trends.

Egypt’s In Your Shoe channels nostalgia through bold creations that reflect Cairo’s dynamic streetwear scene, while the UAE’s L’Afshar transforms minimalist accessories into sculptural masterpieces, renowned for architectural precision and luxurious finishes.

Turkey’s KNTLGY, a pioneer in phygital fashion, merges traditional Turkish artistry with digital and eco-conscious elements, offering a futuristic take on cultural heritage.

While this collab might not feel like an obvious pairing, it has captured our attention for all the right reasons, shining a spotlight on local fashion and design talent while revealing the opportunities for innovation and self-expression in this multidisciplinary space.
