Exclusive: Gucci Announces A Special Online-Only Collection

Gucci Garden will be available on the brand’s website only, from July 5

Gucci enthusiasts (aren’t we all?) will be thrilled with the news that the brand is set to release a special collection, entitled Gucci Garden, on their website on July 5, Bazaar can exclusively reveal. 

The collection features a new (oh-so pretty) print which was created by creative director Alessandro Michele and is reminiscent of the motifs Michele has used in his collections since taking the helm at the Italian brand last year. The signature symbols of the Gucci Garden collection are the bee (to symbolise “nature’s life cycle”) and the snake (which “represents wisdom and power”), which appear in amongst butterflies, blue birds, beetles and ladybirds, as well as brushstroke blooms of carnations and roses. 

The 20-piece collection, which has been worn by the likes of Caroline Issa and Georgia May Jagger offers women a range of pieces in Michele’s now-iconic silhouettes, such as a pleated ankle-length dress, a long-sleeve shirt with scarf, midi and mini skirts and 70s-inspired shorts, as well as two reversible exclusives: a silk twill and knitted lurex bomber jacket and a wool-cashmere and silk twill cardigan. It also includes three Dionysus bags in the new print, plus a sneaker and a mule.
