Two Kuwaiti Abaya Brands Have Partnered With Swarovski For Eid Al-Adha

Bait Hanayen and Shadow have created some seriously sparkly looks

Gem experts Swarovski have partnered with two of Kuwait’s leading modest fashion labels, Bait Hanayen and Shadow, to create a collection of elegant, bejewelled abayas just in time for Eid Al-Adha. Inspired by rich colours of tropical mangroves, Bait Hanayen’s collection, titled ‘Retro’ mixes elements of nature into the fit and finish of each abaya with floral motifs and a blend of traditional and oriental fabrics.

Exploring the influences of Arabian Folklore, Shadow, founded in 2008 by Meshaal Al Shatti, created a rich, sophisticated collection that elevates the usual colours and cuts of modestwear with sparkling Swarovski elements and and avant-garde touches like bejewelled shoulders and embellished pockets.

CEO of Shadow, Meshaal Al Shatti commented on Swarovski’s involvement with the collection, saying: “It’s brilliant when collaborations like these can help bring to light the perfect synergies between design houses and Swarovski. More specifically the creative ways in which their beautiful crystals can be used within the modest wear segment, while keeping with the latest trends.”
